Free Fundraising Sample Letters for your Community Organization
Free fundraising sample letters are useful for you to get an idea of the flow of a fundraising letter but they are no substitute for your own writing. This is true for any free fundraising sample letters but it is even truer for community organizations.
Community organizations are typically writing to local business to gain their financial support. Believe me, all local communities have their own personality whether you realize it or not. If you send, slightly re-worked free fundraising sample letters, to local businesses they will immediately see them for what they are; that's, bland letters without any of your own personality.
Use the sample fundraising letter below for ideas but put own personality to it. "How do I do that then? I hear you ask. On the
page I went through the more formal topics that you should include in your letter. Use that structure but when you're writing imagine that you are actually talking to the person. They are from your community so don't write things that you wouldn't say to them face-to-face. Think of it as a conversation in a letter (with a little structure around it).
You can create your own free fundraising sample letters very easily. The one below took me 20 minutes to write and it has been successful with almost every business we have written to:

"Playing an important role in the development of your youth since 1935
Congratulations on opening your new business. Let me take this opportunity to wish you every success in the future.
Now that you're up and running have you considered the advantages you'd get by sponsoring our local football club, White Towers?
The real question is, "Why is White Towers football club so valuable to our community and what impact does it have on peoples lives?, As you read on, you will realize their are benefits the club offers to the local community, that perhaps you hadn't previously considered. You'll also see how your business will benefit by giving us your support.
Since 1935, we have been playing an important role in the development of the children and youth of this community. It's not always obvious to everyone how we do this, so let me explain.
The skills the youth learn while involved in the club are skills they can take with them when they venture out into the wider world. They learn self-confidence, team work, coordination, social skills; as well as how to cope with the successes and failures that life throws at them.
Young people like Johnny Tope have gone on to play at inter-county level and are now traveling the world as a result. Other young people who were backward and shy when they arrived here at under-eight level have progressed to the point where they are confident and outgoing teenagers. Imagine what it would feel like to have contributed to these successes?
Your business can make a small contribution to that success by taking an advertising banner at our playing facilities. The banner costs $200 for the first year (including manufacturing costs) and then $150 per year after that. I'm sure you'll agree that this is a small contribution to such a worthy cause. White Towers football club has a great standing in our community and by sponsoring us you will be seen as a business who is an enthusiastic supporter of our local community.
We rely on the generosity of our local businesses in order to continue providing opportunities for out people to develop. Please contact me on 92312312 if you have any questions or if you'd like me to call in.
If you're happy to go ahead with the banner please let me know and I can arrange with the sign company to get your design drawn up. Once we get that done then we can take care of the payment details.
